Oyado Kinokuniya Shindaikumachi is located in Nakagawa, Nagasaki City, a convenient area close to the city center, blessed with both rich nature and history. The town offers plenty of greenery, allowing you to spend relaxing moments in nearby parks.
The inn’s name comes from the adjacent Shindaikumachi district. Shindaikumachi is one of the “Odorimachi” (dance towns) of the famous Nagasaki Kunchi Festival, known for its dances and decorations inspired by the design of Nara’s Kasuga Taisha Shrine. It is a lively district that blends commercial vibrancy with deep-rooted traditional culture and historical scenery, showcasing Nagasaki’s unique charm. The area is also very convenient, with plenty of shopping facilities, restaurants, bars, and convenience stores nearby.
The inn is close to “Siebold Street,” a historic district tied to the history of Dutch studies in Nagasaki, where history and culture still live on today!
